Medford Switchbox Project

This year, I worked with kids at Columbus Elementary School to design public art on two traffic signal switchboxes in the school neighborhood. Here are the Before and After shots:

Location: Boston Ave. and College Ave. (Before)
Location: Harvard St. and Willis Ave. (Before)
Another shot before cleanup, priming and painting.

Aren't they wonderful? The kids are really excited to see their work on permanent public display. The kids worked on the stamps and stencils in the spring and they were completed in August. If you are interested in doing a similar project in your neighborhood, I suggest painting in the spring or fall, when it's not so hot.
